So I've recently gotten into the Bleach Community. Recently as in I watched 100 episodes a week for three weeks in December and now read the manga every week. So I'm a bleach n00b... *shudders uncontrollably*. However, while I am new to bleach I am not new to online fandom communities in any way. I happen to belong to one of the biggest fandoms there is, ie. Harry Potter (yeah, twilight wishes it could catch our fictions on FF.net). I've been waist deep in Harry Potter for about 10 years (changed names like 3 times, don't look for me). So I've been around the block somewhat (and sound old, but I'm not at all).

Anyway, this idea was given to me by empathapathique who posted over at ichi_ruki and I hope she doesn't mind that I'm stealing half of her post to explain this stuff. Pretty much, one thing that the HP fandom has that makes the constantly putting out fictions is fic exchanges and fests. The explanation (once again swiped from empathapathique ).

For those who are members of landcomms already and are sick of having to write het/ambiguous fic in order to win challenges, we need no longer conform!

And for those of you who aren't on any landcomms, this is a team challenge community where individuals compete in graphics and fic challenges, as well as do fun games and puzzles, to earn points for their team. It's a great place to meet new people, as well as participate in things you wouldn't normally do.

This landcomm is for all femslash TV and movie pairings, so come along, apply and join in the fun! - Because femmslash needs as uch love as yuri. And I know some of the members are interested ^^ Thanks for letting me know about it!

Hello, everyone!

I'm writing to invite everyone in this community to

yuri_challenge, a yuri/femslash fanfic and fanart challenge community... though you may have heard about us before. Possibly even in this community :D

The bonus of participating this challenge will be that you could quite possibly end up crossposting your submission to the community you're reading in now! Spreading the love and adding to fandom at the same time is a great combo~

Stories and art are based on a prompt for each challenge, and the theme for this Round is "The Musical!" Basically, you will be providing a fandom, pairing, lyric or two, as well as an optional youtube link, and then it will show up on a biiiiig claims post for people to pick to write or draw from~

All fandoms are welcome (TV/anime/books/etc), however the community does not permit RPF/RPS as we're about the characters, not the people playing them. Sorry!

Prompt submissions for this Round have already started over here, so be sure to join the community, and have some earphones on and those pens ready!

One of the most common complaints I hear in the Bleach fandom is 'there isn't enough this!', 'people should draw more of him!', 'I wish there was more fic of such-and-such pairing', and so on and so forth. And, one of the most frequent responses is: "If you want it so badly, why don't you make some of your own?"

bleach_15 is a way to make sure your favorite characters or pairings get the attention and love they deserve. We have a list of 15 Bleach-specific prompts and an open claims list that allows up to two people at a time to claim a character, pairing, threesome, or item.

It's an easy, reachable goal and a surefire way to fill in the holes you see in your own side of fandom. And, who knows? Maybe you'll inspire more people to create more of it, too!

It's nearly pitch-black out tonight, far too cloudy to even show the moon. You know you shouldn't have spent so long hanging out with your friends, but they're persuasive and you lost track of time. That's fine, though. You don't live that far away.

But then, you start to get an eerie feeling. It's a lot like that strange itch you get when someone's been staring at you for too long, only ten times worse. It makes you shiver, despite the mild night. When you look around, there's no one there. No one except some bag lady wandering slowly down the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street, and you doubt that she could see anything through that big hat.

You keep going, but the feeling doesn't go away. In fact, you could swear that it intensifies. You're jittery, now, and you even start walking faster, eager to get home and go to sleep and forget about the weird feeling completely.

There's no warning when it happens. One moment, nothing's wrong, the next you've been shoved out of a streetlamp's light and into the gloom. You stumble back and hit a wall, having no time to react before something's pinning you down, and all your struggling does nothing to move your attacker. There's just enough light to see a silhouette, tangled hair framed by a big, ugly hat. It's the bag lady from before, but since when was an old woman this strong?

Then you hear a hiss, and see a brief reflection of light off of exposed fangs.

Your body isn't found until early the next morning.

So, I have a proposal for Bleach fans everywhere. :D

Write a crack!pairing, and I will make you an icon for that pairing.
Simple enough? ;) I'm just learning my way around GIMP, so been making icons like crazy. XD Look to the one I'm currently using for an idea of what my icons look like; Ulquiorra/Hitsugaya, anyone?
